Cyclocross Virgin No More
Well with a little help from BK and Reid C, I managed to finally participate in my first cyclocross race in Canmore on Saturday. I have to say that it was probably the most fun I've had in Canmore riding a bike in years. The course was fast with a few fast desecents. I was a little worried on how my knee was going to be with the barriers and the short run up, but everything worked out okay. It's a good thing there weren't to many right hand turns. Many thanks to all the people that cheered for me as my fat track riding ass went by. I really appreciate the words of encouragement. I've been riding my cross bike everyday since, to get better acquainted with the bike and I'm really starting to feel comfortable on it. I really enjoy the fact that it's something new and much more fun than staring at the wall riding the rollers which is usually the common occurrence this time of year. I'm looking forward to racing the double header this weekend. I hope to see everybody out there.

Good job Frank. You make me jealous with your new bike. Someday I'll be able to afford a cross bike, someday.
Someday I'll be able to Cross too....someday....
